Over 2,000 dental implants are conducted each year at the Centre for Dental Implantology at the University Hospital in Hradec Kralove, while surgical treatments are conducted on a daily basis. The focus is on the modern methods and technologies used by Prof. Simunek’s team.
During your observation visit, you will have the opportunity to follow the surgical phase of implantological treatments step-by-step. The work shadowing will focus on numerous surgeries of various types, including augmentation, immediate implantation and sinus lift. The Centre for Dental Implantology, which is the Czech Republic’s largest center of its kind, has been providing education for Czech dentists for several years. The opportunity has recently been extended to include dentists from abroad, who may spend one to three days at the Center.
Prof. Antonin Simunek, Ph.D.
With 20 years of experience, Prof. Simunek has placed over 19,000 dental implants. He is a pioneer of dental implantology in the Czech Republic and has held the position of head of the Centre for Dental Implantology at the University Hospital in Hradec Kralove since 1997. Prof. Simunek is a member of the European Association for Osseointegration and focuses on state-of-the-art procedures in implantology and treatments which are in high demand, such as immediate implantation, immediate care etc.
